In-House Welding, Metal Joining, Finishing and Assembly Services
Partnering with ATD means receiving the quality products, services, timeliness and problem-solving support you need to win more customers. From welding, coatings and plating to packaging, assembly and machining, ATD offers Value-Added Services that can be customized to fit your company’s unique production needs.
By keeping secondary metal fabrication services in-house, ATD helps eliminate the need for multiple outside vendors. This can reduce lead times, lower transportation and handling costs and give customers a single accountable partner for metal stamping, finishing, assembly and delivery.
Why Choose In-House Value-Added Services?
ATD’s in-house Value-Added Services help customers reduce costs by limiting the need for outside vendors. By keeping services like welding, assembly, parts washing, rust prevention and deburring under one roof, ATD can help reduce added handling, transportation and supplier coordination.
This single-source approach also helps reduce lead times and improve accountability. Customers work with one team responsible for metal stamping, secondary operations and quality expectations from production through final delivery.
ATD’s Value-Added Services are supported by our IATF 16949 quality management system, helping maintain quality consistency across each step of the process. Our resistance welding capabilities support automotive OEM suppliers producing weld assemblies on tight cycle times. Our vibratory finishing systems deburr thousands of HVAC components per shift.

ATD's CAD Expertise Produces Big Cost Savings for Automotive Manufacturer
Learn how ATD saved an automotive manufacturer hundreds of thousands of dollars by using CAD software to pinpoint a failure and design a new part.
“We were able to tell them that if they went down the path they’ve used for these other tools they’ve built and are running, this part is going to fail. Right up front, in the very early stages of the laying out of this tool, we were able to get that in front of them — before steel was ordered, before die was set, before a lot of costs were accrued.”

Value-Added Services FAQ
Can ATD weld and assemble parts stamped elsewhere?
Yes. ATD can review parts stamped by another supplier to determine whether welding, assembly or other Value-Added Services are a good fit. Our team evaluates part requirements, quality expectations and production needs before recommending the next step.
What is orbital riveting and when is it used?
Orbital riveting is a fastening process that uses controlled pressure and a circular motion to form a rivet head. It is often used when parts need a strong, consistent mechanical joint without traditional welding.
Does ATD provide rust prevention and parts washing?
Yes. ATD can support rust prevention and parts washing for applicable projects. These services help protect parts, remove contaminants and prepare components for the next stage of production or shipment.
What is the capacity of ATD's vibratory deburring systems?
Capacity depends on the part size, material, geometry and finishing requirements. ATD reviews each project to determine the right deburring approach and confirm whether the part is a fit for our vibratory deburring systems.
