DFARS-Compliant Materials: Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, Copper and Brass
ATD stamps a wide range of ferrous and nonferrous materials for automotive and industrial applications. Our material capabilities include cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, galvanized steel, annealed steel, tooling steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and brass.
Stainless steel metal stamping capabilities include grades such as 304, 409 and 410, including cosmetic or appearance-level stainless steel applications. ATD also provides aluminum metal stamping services for components that require lower weight, corrosion resistance or specific performance characteristics.
Available grades include SFH590, SAPH440, 1008/1010, 1006 and Grade 50. ATD can also incorporate welded fasteners, PEM fasteners and other metal joining components into finished parts and sub-assemblies.
DFARS-compliant material options are available for qualifying defense and government applications. Material selection, documentation and sourcing requirements should be reviewed with ATD during quoting to confirm compliance for each program.

Stamping Equipment
ATD’s press fleet ranges from 32 to 700 tons and includes servo, straight-side and gap-frame equipment. This flexibility supports progressive die stamping equipment requirements, transfer applications, short-run programs and high-volume production.
The 700-ton Aida servo press provides programmable motion control for demanding geometries and larger tooling packages. Additional Aida, Minster, Niagara, Verson, Sutherland, Bliss and Federal presses allow ATD to select the right tonnage, stroke, speed and bed size for each component.
Integrated feed lines from Dallas, COE, Minster, CWP and Vamco support controlled coil feeding, straightening and material handling. Coil capacities reach up to 48 inches wide and 30,000 pounds on selected lines.

Tool room Equipment
ATD’s in-house toolroom supports new die construction, tooling changes, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs. The equipment lineup includes wire EDM, CNC milling, grinding, turning, sawing and material handling systems.
Fanuc Robocut wire EDM toolroom equipment allows ATD to cut hardened steel and create precise die sections, punches and complex profiles. Wire EDM supports tight tolerances without introducing the cutting forces associated with conventional machining, making it well suited for detailed tooling components.
Haas CNC machining centers, Okamoto grinders and additional milling and turning equipment give ATD the flexibility to manufacture and repair tooling internally. This reduces reliance on outside suppliers and helps keep tooling projects and production programs moving.

ATD provides Value-Added Services that help customers consolidate production steps under one roof. Available equipment supports deburring, rust prevention, fastening, orbital riveting, PEM insertion, projection welding, spot welding, robotic MIG welding and manual TIG welding.
These capabilities allow ATD to deliver more complete components and sub-assemblies while reducing transportation, handling and coordination with secondary vendors.
